Organizing a Medical Caravan to Perform Cataract Surgeries for Eye Patients in the Sfax Region

The Ghosn Al-Zaytoun Network of Development Associations in Sfax, in support of the state’s efforts and to continue its social and health activities, and in partnership with the Regional Health Directorate of Sfax and the Ophthalmology Department at Habib Bourguiba University Hospital, is organizing a specialized medical caravan for eye surgery. The caravan aims to perform cataract removal surgeries with lens implantation for 80 beneficiaries registered with the medical caravan in the Sfax region. This initiative is funded and supported by the Sheikh Abdullah Al-Nouri Charitable Society in the sisterly State of Kuwait.

The surgeries will be performed according to the following schedule:

February 13 and 14, 2026: 10 surgeries per day at the Regional Hospital in El Mahres.

February 13 and 14, 2026: 15 surgeries per day at the Regional Hospital in Jebiniana.

February 16th and 17th, 2026: 15 operations per day at Habib Bourguiba University Hospital in Sfax.
