The network was delivered to seven new sources of income, benefiting “small fishermen” in the Sfax region.
On Tuesday, November 26, 2024, seven livelihood projects were distributed to small-scale fishermen in the Sfax region, under the supervision of local and regional authorities and the regional social affairs department. This important economic event was attended by the acting delegate of El Mahres, representing the delegation of Tina, the mayors of Tina and Gargour, and the representative of the social affairs department in the delegation of Agareb. Five beneficiaries from Tina and two from Agareb benefited from these development projects. These projects are part of ongoing efforts to support the state and further promote economic empowerment, which aims to increase individuals’ ability to control their lives and achieve their goals by providing them with livelihood opportunities. The economic empowerment process for these beneficiaries involves increasing their capacity and control over basic economic and financial resources, thus helping them transition from a less secure economy to a more stable one. A stronger economic foundation, thus granting them, first and foremost, financial independence. This is supported and funded by the Kuwaiti Al-Najat Charitable Society, whose contributions to most of our development projects are ever-present.
