Department of Major Humanitarian Projects

Introduction:

The Major Humanitarian Projects Department oversees the implementation of impactful initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life for patients and people with disabilities by providing vital in-kind assistance that alleviates their daily suffering. This assistance includes providing wheelchairs for those with mobility impairments, beds and essential medical equipment, as well as distributing respiratory support devices, crutches, prosthetic limbs, and other resources that help patients adapt to their health conditions. This humanitarian work stems from a firm belief in every individual’s right to care and dignity, and a commitment to fostering the values ​​of compassion and solidarity within the community.

  • Distribution of equipment for the benefit of people with disabilities (350 wheelchairs, 700 Braille tablets, 42 white canes, 1 Braille printer, ….)
  • Supporting health institutions with equipment (306 artificial respirators, 4 blood filtration devices, 10 cardiac processing units, 2 laboratory equipment, …)
  • Providing cataract removal surgeries for the benefit of 137 patients in public health institutions
  • Implementing urgent interventions during crises (more than 1000 sterilization operations during the COVID-19 pandemic and others)
