As part of its annual project, the Ghosn Al-Zaytoun Network for Development Associations in Sfax distributed 39 wheelchairs (29 motorized and 10 electronic) to people with special needs, including students and the elderly, after a careful study of the beneficiaries’ needs and in coordination with the relevant authorities.
The distribution event was held under the supervision of local and regional authorities and social affairs departments in the governorates of Sfax, Tozeur, Kasserine, Tataouine and Sidi Bouzid, and in the presence of network members, representatives of the concerned authorities, beneficiaries and their families.
The head of the network confirmed that this initiative falls within the framework of supporting the state’s efforts to support people with disabilities, improve their quality of life, and enable them to continue their education.
This initiative comes with the support and funding of the International Islamic Charitable Organization in the State of Kuwait, as part of a series of humanitarian programs implemented by the network throughout the year.
